The 39th Copper Face Jacks Kilmacud Crokes All-Ireland Hurling Sevens was launched in Croke Park on Monday 29th August 2011.
Among the distinguished guests in attendance were Dublin mentor and Tipperary man, Richard Stakelum, former Kilkenny great John Henderson and three of Dublin’s outstanding 2011 hurlers, Niall Corcoran, Liam Rushe and Ryan O’Dwyer. Also in attendance were Andy Kettle, chairman, Dublin County Board and John Costello, chief executive, as well as the Kilmacud Crokes representatives on the Dublin under 21 and minor hurling squads.
On behalf of new sponsors for the Sevens, Copper Face Jacks, Aidan McCormack expressed his delight to be associated with such a landmark event in the national GAA calendar.
